Microsoft today rolled out cumulative update KB4074588 for Windows 10 Fall Creators Update (Version 1709). This new update will bump your build number up to 16299.248. There are no new features to report, but there are several important security patches and bug fixes that you will want to be sure to get. It’s Patch Tuesday so remember that there are cumulative updates for other earlier versions of Windows 10 and Sever available today as well.

There are no new features to report in this latest release, as is usually the case with most cumulative updates. There are, however, a lot of security fixes, and quality improvements listed below. You should receive this update over the next few days automatically through Windows Update. But if you want to get on top of things, head to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update to check for the latest build. You can also download and install it manually from the Microsoft Update Catalog. Keep in mind a restart will be required to complete the update.
