As we have mentioned earlier, Google has now updated its mobile Docs, Sheets and Slides apps in the App Store with full support for iOS 11 and the iPhone X’s interface. In addition to this, the update also adds the Drag and Drop functionality on the iPad, which was due for quite a long time.
iPhone X users can now enjoy Google’s productivity apps on full screen without the need to worry about the ugly letterbox design that made the device resemble an iPhone 7 or iPhone 8. The update now basically takes full advantage of the iPhone X’s edge to edge display interface.
In addition to this, if you own an iPad which is running on the latest firmware update, iOS 11 or later, you now have the functionality available to Drag and Drop content from other apps into the Docs, Sheets or Slides apps. For a more smoother user experience, Google has also fixed various unspecified bug fixes as well.
The search engine giant recently enhanced the option to protect Drive, Docs, Sheets and Slides access with a passcode. This will make your documents much secure. Moreover, you can also use Touch ID or Face ID to protect them as well. So that’s a major plus. Google is quite active when it comes to updating its apps. For instance, the company today also rolled out an update for its YouTube for iOS app that fixed the iPhone battery draining issue.
