Google Docs Apps Updated With iPhone X Interface, Also Adds iOS 11 Drag And Drop For iPad

Apple with its latest and greatest flagship, altered the course of design in a lot of ways. The major redesign is at the front, where a notch is present at all times on the top portion of the display whether you like or not. However, this may not be an issue for many as well as users get used to it. Moreover, app developers were advised to take the notch into consideration and update their host apps with the interface.

While many have adapted to the iPhone X’s resolution, there still a number of apps that needs to be updated. Now, Google is embracing the notch by updating its apps. The latest addition to it is Google’s Docs, Sheets and Slides suite of productivity apps, which now supports the iPhone X. So let’s dive in to see some more details on it.

Google’s Docs, Sheets And Slides Updated With iPhone X Interface, Also Brings Drag And Drop To The iPad

As we have mentioned earlier, Google has now updated its mobile Docs, Sheets and Slides apps in the App Store with full support for iOS 11 and the iPhone X’s interface. In addition to this, the update also adds the Drag and Drop functionality on the iPad, which was due for quite a long time.

iPhone X users can now enjoy Google’s productivity apps on full screen without the need to worry about the ugly letterbox design that made the device resemble an iPhone 7 or iPhone 8. The update now basically takes full advantage of the iPhone X’s edge to edge display interface.

In addition to this, if you own an iPad which is running on the latest firmware update, iOS 11 or later, you now have the functionality available to Drag and Drop content from other apps into the Docs, Sheets or Slides apps. For a more smoother user experience, Google has also fixed various unspecified bug fixes as well.

The search engine giant recently enhanced the option to protect Drive, Docs, Sheets and Slides access with a passcode. This will make your documents much secure. Moreover, you can also use Touch ID or Face ID to protect them as well. So that’s a major plus. Google is quite active when it comes to updating its apps. For instance, the company today also rolled out an update for its YouTube for iOS app that fixed the iPhone battery draining issue.
