Well, the new ASUS Vivobook S OLED models have just been launched in Malaysia at the event just now so let’s briefly go through the stuff that makes them suitable for today’s work and demand.
With sizes of 14-inch and 16-inch, as expected, both of them can go as high as an Intel Core Ultra 7 155H with Arc Graphics, 16GB of LPDDR5X-7467 RAM, and a speedy PCIe 4.0 SSD offering 512GB of storage. Since the iGPU will be powering most of the graphical workload, users have the flexibility to adjust the amount of RAM allocated to the iGPU for improved performance in tasks like gaming.
The laptops feature the impressive AUSS Lumina OLED panel, available in either 1920×1200 at 60Hz for the 14-inch variant or 3200×2000 at 120Hz for the 16-inch version. Both displays are certified for 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, VESA DisplayHDR True Black 600, and TÜV Rheinland eye-caring features.
Despite a power budget of 50W TDP, the ASUS IceCool thermal solution efficiently manages heat dissipation using heat pipes, air vents, and IceBlade fans, while maintaining low noise levels.
They also introduce the new ASUS ErgoSense single-zone RGB-backlit keyboard with Windows Dynamic Lighting support, offering users a fun customization option along with well-designed key travel and spacing for comfortable typing. Additionally, the Copilot Key is available to assist with mundane tasks using the Core Ultra’s NPU.
In terms of connectivity, the laptops offer a pair of Thunderbolt 4 ports, one USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 port, an HDMI 2.1 with TMDS, a microSD slot, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
Price and Availability
Available in Mist Blue and Black color options, the ASUS Vivobook S 14 OLED starts at RM4,399, while the 16-inch OLED variant begins at RM4,699.
They are set to hit shelves by the end of April, with early customers receiving a complimentary Sony SRS-XB100 portable wireless speaker as a nice gift.
