The iPhone 15 Plus features a 6.7″ screen size, similar to the iPhone 15 Pro Max. Rumors circulating about the upcoming iPhone 16 Plus suggest that it will maintain the same screen size as its predecessor.
However, a new rumor indicates that changes are on the horizon next year. According to Ross Young of Display Supply Chain Consultants, the iPhone 17 Plus will potentially have a smaller screen compared to the iPhone 15 Plus and iPhone 16 Plus.

Although Young did not mention a specific size for the iPhone 17 Plus’ screen, he did indicate that it would position the phone between the standard iPhone 17 and the iPhone 17 Pro Max. If the iPhone 16 Pro Max expands to 6.9″, the same could apply to the iPhone 16 Plus as well.
It is still early in the development cycle of the iPhone 17 family for us to give this information serious consideration at the moment. However, as we await concrete size details in the future, the possibility remains open. Given Ross Young’s reliable track record in sharing such information, it would not be surprising if Apple chooses to use size as a distinguishing factor for its smartphones next year.
