The Wild Update gains new tunes in latest Minecraft: Java Edition snapshot

Bug fixes, changes, and some sweet new tunes.

What you need to know

Development on The Wild Update for Minecraft is in full swing, and Mojang Studios is working on refining and polishing many of the new features it has added. One thing that has been missing from The Wild Update so far has been new music tracks to accompany the different biomes, an omission that Mojang Studios is now rectifying with the latest Minecraft: Java Edition snapshot.

Players of one of the best PC games can now access Minecraft: Java Edition Snapshot 22w16a, which arrives with plenty of changes and fixes for Minecraft’s The Wild Update. The headlining feature of this release is undoubtedly the addition of four new music tracks, as well as a corresponding music disc that can only be crafted by obtaining nine disc fragments from Ancient City chests.

The Wild Update is releasing for Minecraft later in 2022, and will include new biomes like the Deep Dark and mangrove swamps, new mobs like the Warden and allay, and much more. With this snapshot and the most recent Bedrock Edition beta, The Wild Update is even closer to feeling complete.
