Nintendo Switch Mini to Come Out in 2019
The Nintendo Switch is Nintendo’s ultimate console thanks to its massive collection of third-party and first-party titles. The game features two of the best games that Nintendo has ever made, Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey as well as the best from Nintendo’s biggest exclusives such as Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros. We have known that Nintendo has been working on a smaller and cheaper Nintendo Switch console but, now we have gotten our hands on some details.
Nintendo Switch Mini Images Leaked
Thanks to a Dutch tech site named LetsGoDigital, we have gotten our hands on supposed images for the Nintendo Switch mini.
As you can see above, the Nintendo Switch mini is going to be a lot smaller than the Nintendo Switch and, the Joy-Cons aren’t going to be detachable. Since the Joy-Cons can’t be taken out and used for co-op gaming Nintendo was able to place both of the joysticks on the top part of the controllers which may make it easier to hold. It seems like the Nintendo Switch Mini is going to be a smaller and slimmer Wii U and, it’s most likely going to feature a smaller screen with a lower resolution.
We have also gotten our hands on an image of a Nintendo Switch mini case. According to case manufacturer HonSon, they made the design below based on secret information that they have obtained. The design below is different then the leaked render above but, this does mean that a Nintendo Switch Mini is most likely happening.
What About the Nintendo 3DS?
The Nintendo Switch mini is definitely going to cost at least $100 less than the vanilla Nintendo Switch console which means that it’s most likely going to be priced around $200. This means that the Nintendo Switch Mini will be competing with the Nintendo 3DS and, that will definitely have a massive impact on 3DS sales. If someone doesn’t have a Nintendo console they’ll definitely go for the Nintendo Switch mini instead of buying a 3DS but, for someone that already has the Nintendo Switch the Nintendo 3DS may be the perfect console as it features a massive library of exclusives that are definitely worth looking into.
