Apple on Thursday released macOS Sonoma 14.3.1, a point release update for macOS 14.3. According to the release notes, the update includes bug fixes, including a fix for when “text may unexpectedly duplicate or overlap while typing.”
According to the Apple security releases website, “This update has no published CVE entries,” which means it does not contain security patches that address issues filed in the Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) database. Apple is also working on macOS 14.4, which brings new emoji and other performance improvements and security updates.
How to install macOS 14.3.1
Before installing the update, we recommend backing up your Mac’s data. The installation requires an internet connection, and the Mac will need to restart.
- Click on the Apple menu and select System Settings.
- In the left column, click on General.
- In the main section click on Software Update.
- The Mac will check for the update. If it’s available to install, you can click Update Now to proceed. If you do not see the update, check again later.
