Assassin’s Creed Red to Release Sometime in 2024 – Rumor

Assassin's Creed Red

Assassin’s Creed Red, the next entry in the series set in the Feudal Japan era, is releasing sometime next year, judging from some recent findings.

As reported by Access the Animus on Twitter, a few months ago, Ubisoft’s Business Development and Brand Partnership team was looking for sponsorship partners for the game, which is planned for a 2024 release. Given the series’ history, it is likely the game will be Ubisoft’s big holiday game.

Very little is currently known about Assassin’s Creed Red, as Ubisoft only confirmed that it is in development. Back in March, it was reported that the game will feature two playable characters, a female samurai and a shinobi who is an African refugee who learned the way of the Creed. Just like the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Red will also feature a major focus on stealth mechanics, as Ubisoft apparently looked at series like Splinter Cell and Hitman for inspiration. While stealth will be a focus, the game will come with the RPG mechanics seen in the series since Origins, but it may be the last one to do so, according to some other rumors circulating online.

While Assassin’s Creed Red is still quite far from release, fans of the open-world series by Ubisoft will get the aforementioned Assassin’s Creed Mirage to tide them over. The game that will bring the series back to its roots will release on October 12th on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and Xbox One worldwide. The game will also be available on Amazon Luna.
