The holiday season continues to get busier and busier for gamers, with the impending launch of the Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and Playstation 5, and a plethora of awesome-looking games alongside them like Watch Dogs: Legion and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Speaking of the latter, the next Assassin’s Creed game has officially gone gold, according to Ubisoft, which bodes well for no more delays and a smooth launch come November 10, 2020.

Going gold is standard practice in the gaming industry, and refers to when the game is complete, and stable enough to mass manufacture the physical copies. In the weeks remaining before launch, the team behind Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will likely work on a day one patch to resolve any lingering bugs or issues with the game. Another heavy hitter for this holiday season, Cyberpunk 2077, also recently went gold, so gamers aren’t going to have a shortage of awesome worlds to explore on their new consoles.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will launch on November 10, 2020, the same day as the Xbox Series X and S, and support 4K and up to 60fps on the more powerful Xbox Series X (60fps at a lower resolution is the most likely for the Series S). In our Assassin’s Creed Valhalla preview, we saw that Ubisoft has made some important changes to their open world formula, and the viking premise is fascinating, but the world also felt a little empty of things to do at times.
