GPRO X070: An RX 5700 XT Fanless at Sapphire!

For its part, Sapphire is developing a new graphics card based on the RX 5700 XT. The card in question, called the GPRO X070, is actually a model for a professional environment. This model is designed to operate in racks where the air flow is provided by the case itself. So you will have understood that Sapphire offers us, no more and no less, an RX 5700 XT Fanless!

Despite a design that is very different from what we are used to seeing, the GPU is based on the RX 5700 XT. Thus, this model offers 40 Compute Units containing a total of 2560 Stream Processors. Similarly, the GPU still offers 160 TMUs and 64 ROPs.

Moreover, as you can see, the heatsink is completely fanless. Instead, we have a large network of aluminum fins, with a total of four heat pipes running through it. The air flow is then brought through the rack containing the card, with the fan blowing in the direction of the fins to cool the whole assembly.

Despite this heat sink, Sapphire opts for the reference frequencies of the original 5700 XT. Thus, we can count a GPU running at 1607/1755/1905 MHz (base/game/boost). In addition, the card has a double bios with downclocked frequencies (the opposite of overclocking). Under these conditions, the card rotates at 1500/1700/1750 MHz (base/game/boost). A mode that will be chosen according to the number of cards in the rack? This is not very clear, but perhaps it is also related to crypto-currency mining?

On the other hand, this model has a video output, where other cards of this type do not. Here, we can count on the presence of three DisplayPorts as well as an HDMI.
