Following the big release of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 SUPER series graphics cards, NVIDIA partners are also unveiling their versions of these powerful GPUs; so let’s dive in and have a quick look at what’s on the table.
And make sure to stick with us on this post as we’ll be updating it regularly as the other brands reveal their respective offerings.
ZOTAC – AMP Extreme AIRO, Trinity OC, Trinity, Twin Edge, Twin Edge OC
For starters, the ZOTAC GAMING GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER comes in three versions: the AMP Extreme AIRO, Trinity OC White Edition, and Trinity Black Edition. At the high end, the AMP Extreme AIRO edition boasts 5-Zone, SPECTRA 2.0 ARGB lighting with animated effects along with durability enhancements such as a die-cast metal backplate, large dual ball bearing fans, and a strong factory overclock.
Meanwhile, the Trinity model inherits cooling technologies from the flagship model and is available in two colors: the Black Edition and OC White Edition. Likewise, these models also showcase an aerodynamic design but with a more minimalist design approach, noise-reducing enhancements, and so on.
Similarly, the ZOTAC GAMING GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER will feature the Trinity models alongside an AMP Holo model which sports a HoloBlack design, showcasing a more angular, isometric design, and powerful cooling hardware.
As for the ZOTAC GAMING GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER, it presents the most compact card of the lineup with the Twin Edge and Twin Edge OC coming with just a dual-slot width to fit into most small form-factor PC builds, as well as the Trinity model which delivers better cooling performance with its triple fan design.
With that said, the GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER and RTX 4070 Ti SUPER will be offered in 16GB, whereas the RTX 4070 SUPER will come in a 12GB option.
MSI – SUPRIM, EXPERT, GAMING TRIO, GAMING SLIM, VENTUS
Coming from MSI are 5 different series: the high-end SUPRIM, cooling-focused EXPERT, gaming-focused GAMING TRIO and GAMING SLIM, as well as performance-focused VENTUS.
The SUPRIM card boasts the TRI FROZR 3S cooling system which packs TORX FAN 5.0, up to 10 Core Pipes, Airflow Control fins with new Wave-curved 3.0 edges, and air antegrade fins for optimal heat dissipation. In addition, the RTX 4080 SUPER models will include a vapor chamber.
Appearance-wise, the brushed aluminum exterior on both the cooler and the backplate not only gives an “armored feel” to it but also reinforces the card’s length. And of course, the RGB Mystic Light offers tons of customizable lighting options to provide users’ PC build with extra style points.
On the other hand, the EXPERT series adopts a push-pull airflow design and is crafted with Aluminum Die-Casting for robustness, while the combination of Core Pipe and a Vapor Chamber ensures effective cooling.
Moving on, the GAMING TRIO comes in both black and white colors and carries the TORX Fan 5.0 design with pairs of three fan blades bound together with an outer link, forming a rim that focuses airflow into the updated TRI FROZR 3 cooling system. The brushed-metal backplate with a flow-through design strengthens the card while also providing passive cooling action through the implementation of thermal pads.
For the GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER and RTX 4070 Ti SUPER models, a nickel-plated copper baseplate in the core of the heatsink quickly captures heat. Plus, these cards also support Dual BIOS and Mystic Light just like the previous ones.
Similar to the GAMING TRIO, the GAMING SLIM is also available in both black and white editions and features the TRI FROZR 3 cooling system with a TORX Fan 5.0 design but in a slimmer profile.
Lastly, the VENTUS series brings gamers a price-performance-focused approach with a straightforward design and comes equipped with TORX Fan 4.0 alongside a reinforcing backplate.
ASUS – ROG Strix, TUF Gaming, ProArt, Dual
As for ASUS, they picked the usual “Elite 4” of ROG Strix, TUF Gaming, ProArt, and Dual series as expected. And before we start, let’s get one point straight which is aside from the ProArt series, the other 3 series all have white versions.
First, the usual ROG Strix card rocking the triple fan setup of Axial-Tech fans is capable of delivering 31% more air and 56.3% more static pressure or going full silent with its 0dB mode when under idle or light workloads while the MaxContact heatsink is what allows the card to get rid of heat more easily.
Being a member of the highest performing family, the Dual BIOS feature, dual FanConnect II headers for hooking up to case fans synchronization, ARGB tail-lights are here to stay.
Now for the TUF Gaming lineup. Tired of the gun grey metallic mixed with orange accents? Well, then take this arctic military-esque colorway instead. The major parts are identical to the ROG Strix series so if you don’t mind cutting down the RGBs a bit for a lower price, then pick this!
Moving to the ProArt series, yeah. Good old ProArt design of full black with a hint of gold for the designer builds that crave the ultimate classy look without sacrificing on feature set and temperature control.
Lastly, the basic Dual series carries two fans which will be sufficient for cooling the GPUs that it is going to handle as there’s no RTX 4080 SUPER variant for this family.
