Although I must admit that Android modding and rooting is no longer what it used to be, a lot of hardcore fans of Android modding still remain, and it is thanks to their dedication that we can still root our phones. If you want to root your Galaxy S23, you first have to unlock the bootloader, and today, I will walk you through how to unlock the Galaxy S23 bootloader.

Unlocking the bootloader used to be a complicated procedure involving a command prompt, but Samsung, along with other OEMs, has made things a lot easier. The process of unlocking the Galaxy S23 bootloader only takes a couple of minutes. The same method works for all Galaxy S23 models, so feel free to go ahead if you want to.

Note: If you unlock the Galaxy S23 bootloader, you will lose all your data. So, be sure to make a backup.

Step 1: On your Galaxy S23, head over to Settings.

Step 2: Scroll all the way down and tap on About phone.

Step 3: Now tap on Software information.

Step 4: Once there, tap the Build number 7 or 8 times until you get a toast message saying you’re now a developer.

Step 5: Go back to Settings, scroll all the way down, and you’ll find Developer options.

Step 6: Look for OEM unlocking toggle and turn it on.
