Installing via PPA

Run the following commands in Terminal to install Telegram Desktop Client in Linux Ubuntu Desktops via PPA:

sudo apt update
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:atareao/telegram
sudo apt update
sudo apt install telegram

Once installed, open the Telegram Desktop client from Ubuntu Dash or Ubuntu Menu. Please note that you will have to autorise and configure the Telegram Desktop client to use on the Linux Systems.
