Microsoft has been working on a new To-Do list app called Microsoft To-Do (aka Project Cheshire) for a while. The app later moved in private beta and appeared on the Windows Store on some occasions. And now, Microsoft just announced that Microsoft To-Do is now available in Preview on the web, as well as on Windows 10, iOS, and Android.
Microsoft To-Do is developed by the team behind the Wunderlist app that Microsoft acquired back in 2015, and will eventually replace Wunderlist once Microsoft feels confident that all the goodies are brought over from one of the best To-Do list apps. This is exactly what Microsoft has done with the calendar app Sunrise which gets shut down once its features were integrated into the Outlook app.
Integrated seamlessly with Office 365, Microsoft To-Do helps you create a list for anything you need to organize your work, projects or even groceries. It also lets you keep track of the deadlines by adding reminders, due dates and notes, and personalize each list with colorful themes. And because the app is available not only on the web but also on Windows 10, iOS and Android, you get to access your list from anywhere.
Microsoft To-Do also makes some intelligent suggestions as well. Every morning, your My Day list starts out with a clean slate with nothing on it. Tap Intelligent Suggestions light-bulb, and you will see any to-dos from the day before, what’s due or upcoming, and other helpful suggestions based on To-Do’s smart algorithm. Just add the ones you want to get done to My Day.
If you are using Outlook tasks, it will automatically sync your tasks with To-Do and allow you to access and manage them across devices. Of course, you will need an Office 365 account to take advantage of this feature.
