Moto Edge 30 Fusion vs OnePlus 10T vs iQOO 9T vs OPPO Reno8 Pro battery drain test: which phone wins?

With several new flagship phones focusing more on the processor, display, and camera capabilities, the battery offering has mostly become limited between 4500mAh to 5000mAh. However, they now come with exceptional fast-charging capabilities, allowing them to charge in a blink of an eye. A bigger battery is essential if you use location-based apps or click selfies throughout the day. So, let us find out which recent flagship – Moto Edge 30 Fusion, OnePlus 10T, iQOO 9T, and OPPO Reno8 Pro – survived the battery drain test with flying colours.

On these smartphones, MySmartPrice performed battery drain and charging tests with maximum brightness and performance levels. Here are the results.

The battery drain test started with video playback and speaker tests for two hours, and they found that Moto Edge 30 Fusion lost the most charge in this process as it went to 74 per cent from 100 per cent, while the iQOO 9T lost the least losing just 16 per cent of the total charge. OnePlus 10T and OPPO Reno8 Pro remained at second and third places, respectively, with remaining 81 per cent and 78 per cent charge during this battery drain test.

The video then discussed the performance of these smartphones and found that iQOO 9T performed the best. Meanwhile, the OnePlus 10T couldn’t do well, even with the same processor in the first round. However, after switching on the high-performance modes of the respective smartphones, they found that Oneplus 10T was ahead, though iQOO 9T was still close. And after switching on the high-performance modes of the respective smartphones, they found that Oneplus 10T was ahead, but iQOO 9T was still close in the Geekbench scoring.

And after playing high-end games, the battery percentage in these phones went down to 49 per cent, 46 per cent, 43 per cent, and 31 per cent, respectively.

The team also recorded the video in 4k 30fps, then used social media for a while and found that Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1-equipped smartphones – iQOO 9T and OnePlus 10T – did an excellent job as the other phones lost all the charge in the process.

Here’s the final result after the battery-draining test:

Smartphones Capacity Screen on time
iQOO 9T 4700mAh/ Flash, 120W 7 hrs and 13 mins
OnePlus 10T 4800mAh/ Super VOOC, 150W 6 hrs and 53 mins
