Nintendo Switch Games List: ‘Yooka-Laylee’, ‘Stardew Valley’ And More Indie Titles Coming In 2017

With the Nintendo Switch ready to launch on March 3, more titles are being confirmed for the new hybrid console seemingly each day. Tuesday’s Nindies Showcase gave us a first look at a lot more games coming to the platform this year.

There will be over 60 indie games coming to Nintendo Switch in 2017 alone, and the Nindies Showcase brought trailers and gameplay footage of some of them.

“Our Nindies Showcase gives fans a taste of some of the great content on its way to Nintendo eShop,” said Steve Singer, Nintendo of America’s vice president of publisher and developer relations in a press release. “We’re working with both mainstream and independent developers to make Nintendo Switch the destination for entertaining games and experiences.”

Highly-anticipated titles like Yooka-Laylee, the spiritual successor to the Banjo-Kazooie series, will be coming to the Nintendo Switch with multiplayer later this year.

Stardew Valley, the indie darling of 2016, will be coming to the Switch in the summer, and will be the first platform to try out its new multiplayer function.

Some other indie titles coming to the Nintendo Switch include the following. These descriptions and release dates come straight from the official Nintendo press release:

Dandara from Raw Fury and Long Hat House: Dandara has awoken to reshape the world. In this strange world of quirky characters, nothing is at it seems. In this bizarre, gravity-bending world with hidden beauty, it’s up to Dandara, jumping from surface to surface, to restore order and direct a directionless world. The game is scheduled to launch on Nintendo Switch this summer with exclusive features and functionality, including HD rumble support.
