‘Rainbow Six Siege’ Update 2.1.1 Releasing Next Week As PS4 Server Issues Get Fixed

Rainbow Six Siege update 2.1.1 was assumed for release soon, but it appears the small patch won’t debut until next week. A tweet from the game’s official account confirmed the news Wednesday morning.

The message reads “2.1.1 will happen next week, [so] we’ll keep you updated with the exact times.” The full list of expected features can be found here, but here are a few of the major ones.

A more complete list of fixes will likely be available once the official patch notes go live, but these changes are confirmed adjustments with top-priority status that should arrive next week or shortly thereafter.

In fact, with regard to recent networking problems, Siege PS4 servers just finished a round of maintenance to fix matchmaking errors in multi-region parties. Players in select territories may need to download an emergency 2.5GB patch to resolve the issue. Additional undisclosed network improvements are designed to keep the Sony faithful online.

Rainbow Six Siege update 2.1.0 arrived just a few days ago, and it addressed issues with XP, the Velvet Shell DLC and more. The next round of fixes should further tighten the multiplayer experience.

Rainbow Six Siege is available now on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.

What fixes do you want to see in Rainbow Six Siege update 2.1.1? Are these preliminary patch notes encouraging? Tell us in the comments section!
