Red Dead Online, Multiplayer-only Version of Red Dead Redemption 2, To Be Available as a Standalone Game for $5 From December 1

Red Dead Online the multiplayer online version of Red Dead Redemption 2 is going to be available as a standalone game from December 1st. Rockstar Games has announced that it’s releasing the game to compete against other online multiplayer games. According to the report, the Red Dead Online will be up for grabs under an introductory price of USD 5 which is around Rs 370 in INR.

Notably, the introductory price will be offered until February 15, 2021. The game will be up for purchase on Microsoft Store for Xbox One, PlayStation Store for PS4, Rockstar Games Launcher, Epic Games Store, and Steam for PC. After February 15, 2021, the game price will be increased to USD 20 (approx Rs 1,480).

The beta version of the game was launched back in November 2018. The Red Dead Online was designed after the success of Grand Theft Auto Online, another offering from Rockstar Games. Further, the report also suggests that the GTA V Online has recorded hundreds of millions of dollars transaction, which helped the company to survive the console generation for GTA series. GTA V Online was initially launched for PS3 and Xbox 360 and the company is said to bring a standalone version of the game in the second half of 2021.

“Get Red Dead Online as a Standalone Game on December 1st. New players who do not already own Red Dead Redemption 2 can experience everything Red Dead Online has to offer, including access to all future content updates,” reads the official Rockstar Games tweet.

The Red Dead Online said to arrive with new story missions, Trader, Collector, Moonshiner, free roam activities and Naturalist. The game also allows players to take control over animals. You can play the game solo or with up to seven players. Some story missions also require two to four players, so you can ask your friends to join the game or you can find some companions online.

According to Rockstar Games, the stand-alone variant will arrive with a file size of 123GB. So make sure you have enough space on your PS, Xbox, and PC to accommodate the game. “As an added bonus, this week all Bounty Hunter missions in Red Dead Online are awarding double XP,” reads the official website.
