RX 6600 and RX 6600 XT: new details

New information has just appeared about two important cards in terms of positioning for AMD. The RX 6600 and RX 6600XT will both have the Navi 23 graphics chip with 8GB of GDDR6 memory on a 128-bit interface.

Details of the two cards ( rumor ) :

AMD-RX-6600-Specs As for the performance of these 2 cards, if we are to believe the leaks published on Chiphell, the RX 6600 XT would get 9439 points under 3DMark Time Spy (Graphics) while the “classic” 6600 card would get 7805 points. Assuming that these numbers are correct, they should be put in perspective with the score of an RTX 2060 SUPER which gets a good 8800 points in the same test. Of course we can also say that we are here on test samples and that the performance is not definitive (understand: it should improve). The arrival of these cards is announced for the second half of the year, but we don’t really have a precise date. Then there will remain the price positioning of these cards should potentially bring volume to AMD … If the volume is possible. Finally, we will have to consider the offer that Nvidia intends to launch below the RTX 3060. For now, AMD cards have clearly come close to the chameleon. But when you consult with the big distributors, neither the volumes nor the demand are there to disrupt the market leader in the short term.
