Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 tipped to feature S24 Ultra’s 200MP camera

Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold series doesn’t offer the best cameras even though they cost more than the flagship Galaxy S models. A new rumour suggests the Galaxy Z Fold 6 that’s launching later this year, will come with some major camera improvements. It will reportedly feature the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s 200MP camera.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 camera details leaked

  • Samsung is planning to equip the Galaxy Z Fold 6 with the same camera sensor as the Galaxy S24 Ultra, according to the tipster Revegnus.
  • This is the primary camera on the Galaxy S24 Ultra, and it’s a 1/1.3-inch sensor with f/1.7-aperture, AF and OIS.
  • This suggests that we could see the Galaxy Z Fold 6 housing the 200MP sensor as its primary camera, which would be a big shift from the 50MP camera on the present models.
  • It’s a major leap but only a rumour for now so it’s best to wait for more concrete evidence. Other rumours suggest the same camera setup on the Galaxy Z Fold 6 so there’s contradicting information for now.
  • The tipster’s post also mentions “instead of decreasing the battery capacity,” but it isn’t clear what he’s trying to say here.

There isn’t much that has been revealed about the Galaxy Z Fold 6 yet. A previous report stated that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 will come with a larger display than the previous model. But specific details weren’t revealed in the leak

Rumours are also rife about a cheaper Galaxy Z Fold 6 coming this year alongside the regular model. This one would be a toned-down version of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 with possibly a similar design. The interesting part here would be the pricing of the foldable as Samsung has so far stuck to the premium segment for its foldable phones.
