TikTok Music Looks to Take Arms Against Apple Music and Spotify as the Latest Music Streaming Enters the Market

When talking about music streaming services, Spotify and Apple Music are two kings. Sure, other companies have decided to take up arms against these giants, but so far, we have not seen anyone making a dent. On the other hand, TikTok thinks otherwise because the company plans to launch its music streaming service called TikTok Music.

TikTok Music is currently live in Indonesia and Brazil, and I really want it to come to other regions fast

Now, for users in Brazil and Indonesia, TikTok Music is already available. However, this is just the tip of the iceberg because we are sure that the company is going to expand based on how hit this new service is. For those who don’t know, you can actually use the new service and sync it with the existing account and listen to songs, download them, and even share them. At the time of writing, music from all major record companies is available.

TikTok Music will also let you play full versions of all the viral TikTok songs that you would otherwise search on YouTube. You will also have access to personalized music recommendations, access to lyrics, the ability to create and collaborate on playlists, import music library, and identify the music that is playing near you.

Now, it is important to know that TikTok Music is currently only available in two regions, and although I’d love to see the service going live in other regions, the issue here is that you might not be able to see that. Especially in the U.S., considering how there are currently tensions between both countries, and we might not see that happening altogether. Whatever the case, it is safe to say that both Apple Music and Spotify could use some competition, and maybe TikTok will be the one to give them the competition that we all need.

Whether or not we actually see TikTok Music is something that we will have to wait, but that is going to take some time. So far, the service looks exactly like what others in the same sphere have to offer, and we are going to wait and see how it turns out.
