Vivo V27e launched with Helio G99 SoC; Realme C55 to debut on March 7

Vivo has announced the launch of its V27e smartphone in Malaysia. The new 4G device from Vivo wasn’t included in the recent launch of Vivo V27 series in India. However, Malaysia is getting the V27e with a Helio G99 chipset under the hood. In other news, Realme has revealed that it will be debuting the Realme C55 on March 7 in Indonesia.

The Vivo V27e is available in multiple colour options, namely Lavender Purple, Glory black and Lively Green options. The 8GB + 256GB trim of V27e costs 1,299 RM (approx Rs 23,900). The device is currently available for order in Malaysia with free gifts.

The Vivo V27e sports a 6.62 inch AMOLED display that has a Full HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The back of the smartphone also houses the Aura Light. The device is equipped with a MediaTek Helio G99 SoC that is paired with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage which is expandable.

On the rear, it features a triple camera setup headlined by a 64 megapixel primary sensor that supports OIS, 2 megapixel macro camera and a 2 megapixel depth sensor. On the front, there’s a 32 megapixel selfie shooter. The V27e is backed by a 4,600mAh battery pack that supports 66W fast charging.

The device runs on Android 13 OS based FunTouchOS 13, has hybrid dual SIM tray, IP54 dust and splash resistance, In-display optical fingerprint sensor and stereo speakers. Connectivity options on the device include Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, NFC, and a USB-C port for charging.

Realme is all set to launch a new budget C-series device in Indonesia on March 7. Realme has revealed that the Realme C55 will be available in two colour options including Sunshower or Rainy Night. The device will feature either 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM paired with 128GB of eMMC storage or 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of eMMC storage.

Realme has also shared some of the key features of the Realme C55, which includes a dual camera setup with a 64 MP main sensor, a large 5000 mAh battery with support for 33W SuperVOOC fast charging, a sleek design that is as thin as 7.89mm, and support for NFC. Other leaked specs include a 6.52-inch LCD display with Full-HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 90Hz.

It will pack the MediaTek Helio G88 SoC under the hood. It gets a USB-C port for charging and support for USB 2.0 data transfer, alongside a 3.5mm audio jack and speaker grille. On the front, there will be an 8MP camera for selfies and video calls. It is expected that the smartphone will run on Realme UI 4.0 based on Android 13.

A recent tweet from tipster Paras Gulani suggests that the smartphone will also arrive in India later this month.
