Zoom app now works with Apple TV 4K

Zoom is one of the most popular video conferencing apps that was not available on the tvOS-powered Apple TV 4K until a couple of days ago. It’s no longer the case now, as the video conferencing app has now been listed on the App Store for Apple TV 4K (2nd generation and later) users to install and start or join meetings using their TVs.

As first spotted by Sigmund Judge, the Zoom app for Apple TV has the basics covered. From being able to start or join video meetings to calendar integration, the Zoom app is packed with features, even though the app has just made its debut on the platform. If you don’t have a camera mounted on your TV but have an iPhone or iPad, you don’t have to worry much about video conferencing with Zoom on Apple TV.

The Zoom app supports Continuity Camera, which effectively turns your iPhone and iPad into a webcam. You can use your iPhone or iPad cameras to attend video calls through the Zoom app on Apple TV 4K. The quality of camera streaming should be great, given that iPhones come with impressive camera hardware.

Interestingly, Zoom has made no official announcement regarding the availability of the Zoom app on Apple TV 4K. But that shouldn’t be a problem for users to discover features, as the app is pretty simple and explains everything as long as one can read and understand the English language.
