Vivo has confirmed the launch of the Vivo X100 series smartphones on January 4 in India. The upcoming smartphones will be the first to debut the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 chipset in the Indian market. However, it looks like the company plans more variants in the series. According to tipster Digital Chat Station, Vivo is working on the Vivo X100S and Vivo X100S Pro smartphones for the China market. The tipster has revealed the specifications (via) of the upcoming Vivo X100S smartphone.
The upcoming X100S series smartphones will sport flat AMOLED displays in contrast to the existing Vivo X100 and Vivo X100 Pro smartphones, which have curved displays. The forthcoming devices are tipped to debut alongside the Vivo X100 Pro+ smartphone in the second quarter (Q2) of 2024.
According to leaks, Vivo will likely debut many other products along with the X100 Pro+ smartphone, including Vivo Pad 3.
Vivo X100S Expected Specifications
According to the tipster, Vivo will equip the X100S smartphone with a 6.78-inch 8T flat OLED display sourced from BOE. The BOE panel will sport a 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate with support for LTPO technology. The X100S phone will run the same MediaTek Dimensity 9300 chipset as the X100 smartphone.
The upcoming X100S smartphone will be backed by 5000mAh with 120W wired fast charging support. The smartphone will run Origin OS 4 based on Android 14 out of the box in China. Vivo will equip the device with a triple rear camera setup comprising a 50MP Sony IMX 920 primary sensor, according to the leak.
The sensor will be paired with OIS, a 50MP Samsung JN1 ultrawide lens, and a 64MP Omnivision OV64B periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. The upcoming X100S will likely continue the same 32MP selfie snapper with f/2.0 aperture. The smartphones will likely debut in the second quarter of 2024 in China.
