Aventurine is a 5-star Preservation character in Honkai Star Rail with Imaginary Damage type and he is going to be our first limited 5-star Shield character. Honkai Star Rail 2.0 trailblazing missions gave us a lot of info on Aventurine and he has received a mixed reaction from the community. If you are interested in getting Aventurine, here is everything we know about the HSR Aventurine kit, Eidolons, Trace abilities, and release date.

Aventurine is a 5-star Preservation Shielder, with the Imaginary damage type. He is going to be an offensive Preservation character with Follow-up attacks and Shields, similar to March 7th. However, Aventurine’s shields are much stronger and are team-wide instead of being limited to a single target.

Aventurine is a member of the IPC, Interastral Peace Corporation, a senior manager of the Strategic Investment Department, and a member of the Ten Stonehearts. He possesses an air of frivolity and is a gambler by heart. Aventurine considers exploitation and treachery as simply tools of trade.

HSR Aventurine Voice Actor

Aventurine’s English voice actor is Camden Sutkowski, known for his roles in the movies For Velaris, My Mate, and Good Morning.

Aventurine’s Japanese voice actor is Kawanishi Kengo, known for voicing Gen Asagiri of Dr. Stone (Anime), Muichiro of Demon Slayer (anime), and Terunosuke Miyamoto of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure (anime).

“Go ahead, use me as you wish, even stab me in the back when you see fit. Exploitation and treachery are simply tools of the trade. But remember, I don’t make deals that don’t pay off… So, I hope you don’t disappoint me.”… pic.twitter.com/vrDLLILbcY— Honkai: Star Rail (@honkaistarrail) January 24, 2024

Aventurine was first revealed in the recent drip marketing campaign, held just before the release of Honkai Star Rail 2.0. This confirms that Aventurine will be released in the Honkai Star Rail 2.1 version on March 20, 2024, next to Acheron and Gallagher. However, we still don’t know whether he will feature in the first or second half of the 2.1 version.

HSR Aventurine Kit

Aventurine’s last leaked kit is very old and it is likely going to change in the following weeks. However, the core part of his kit should remain the same, so let’s look at Aventurine’s kit that was leaked some time back.

  • Basic Attack: Deals Imaginary Damage equal to a percentage of Aventurine’s Defense.
  • Skill: Provides a team-wide exclusive shield capable of absorbing damage equal to a percentage of Aventurine’s Defense, and the shield can come with a random suit. Using Skill again refreshes any suit, expect Spades, and provides all allies with Increased Shield value. The Shield cannot absorb damage more than a percentage of Aventurine’s Defense + X Damage.
  • Ultimate: Randomly gains 1 to X points of energy points (stackable element and not for recharging Ultimate) and deals Imaginary Damage equal to a percentage of his Defense.
  • Talent: When allies with his shield get attacked, he accumulates energy, a Spade should accumulate more energy while other suits accumulate 1 energy. When the energy point reaches 6, Aventurine refreshes all the suits and his Defense is increased for X number of turns. Then he will consume all the energy points and do several follow-up attacks on Random enemies, dealing Imaginary damage equal to a percentage of his Defense for every attack. Max energy accumulation points can be 10.
  • Technique: Aventurine gains a shield at the start of the battle, equal to a percentage of his Defense, for X number of turns. He also increases the chance of him getting targeted by enemies.

Aventurine has a strong defensive kit with a lot of offensive elements and he completely scales on Defense. His kit provides shields to all allies, scaling on his Defense, and the shields have random suits. Shields with the Spade suit generates more Energy points while getting attacked.

When 6 energy points are accumulated, Aventurine refreshes the suits and does several Follow-up attacks on random enemies. He also has increased aggro, which makes him a good sustain option.

HSR Aventurine Eidolons

Aventurine Honkai Star Rail Penacony
  • Eidolon 1: Aventurine receives a buff and has an increased chance of being attacked after using his Ultimate. Also, he always receives the Spade suit, lasting for X turns.
  • Eidolon 2: Increases Debuff resistance of all allies after using his Skill.
  • Eidolon 3: Ultimate Level + 2, up to Level 15 max, Basic Attack Level + 1, up to Level 10 max.
  • Eidolon 4: Basic attack deals extra Imaginary Damage equal to X percentage of all allies’ shield value. This effect can only apply once every X turns.
  • Eidolon 5: Skill Level + 2, up to Level 15 max, Talent Level + 2, up to Level 15 max.
  • Eidolon 6: Increases Aventurine’s Damage output for every ally with a shield.

His eidolons don’t look particularly interesting and are likely won’t be that game-changing. Aventurine’s E1 increases his aggro while always giving him the Spade suit, which will likely allow him to do frequent Follow-up attacks. The other Eidolons are nothing special, except the E6, which likely increases his overall damage by a lot.

Aventurine Traces and Ascension Abilities in HSR

Aventurine Penacony hsr
  • Ascension 2: When Aventurine’s current HP exceeds or is equal to X percentage of his Max HP, he deals increased damage.
  • Ascension 4: Increases Control Type debuff resistance when under a shield.
  • Ascension 6: When his Talent Follow-up attack is triggered, all allies get another exclusive shield equal to X percentage of his Defense + X damage, which can stack on the Shield provided by the Skill while also refreshing the duration, for X number of turns. However, the stacked shield value cannot exceed the max shield value of his Skill.

Aventurine’s Ascension abilities are quite good and worth investing in. His A2 ability increases his damage based on his HP, which I am assuming will be more damage when the current HP is equal to or exceeds 50% of Max HP.

His A4 ability increases Control Type debuff resistances when under a shield, which is always good to have. Aventurine’s A6 ability allows him to refresh the shield of all allies when his follow-up attack is triggered, which is a very good ability.

Overall, Aventurine’s leaked kit looks strong, with both defensive and offensive elements, and he can become one of the go-to Sustain characters in the future. Geopard, March 7th, or Fire Trailblazer, are often unused compared to other sustain units, so hopefully Aventurine will change that with his release.
