Honor X50 GT to arrive on January 4 with a 108 MP camera

Honor launched the X50 series in the summer of 2023, and already has three official variants. A fourth one will join the family, as the brand has revealed that the X50 GT will be announced on January 4th.

The smartphone looks a lot like the Honor X50, but will feature a flashy white color, a yellow racing stripe, and a classic black paint job.

The new phone will have a 108 MP sensor with a 1/1.67” size and an nf/1.75 aperture on the front, which is clear from the writing on the back of the white version. This is the popular Samsung HM6 sensor, which is seen in many midrangers, including the regular Honor X50 and the Honor Magic6 Lite/X9b.

The new phone will highlight the GT series’ “extreme pursuit of performance,” according to Honor CMO Harrison Zhang. The Honor X50 GT will have improved heat dissipation, a more responsive display, and other improvements rarely seen in the mid-range X series.

The event is scheduled for 19:30 local time, and we expect Honor to reveal more details in the seven days leading up to the event.
