The OnePlus Ace 3 is set to launch in China on January 4. The company confirmed the launch date of the device yesterday. The device is set to arrive as a successor to the OnePlus Ace 2, which had made its debut back in February earlier this year. The Ace 3 is also set to launch in the global and Indian markets as the OnePlus 12R alongside the OnePlus 12 on January 23. Now, ahead of the official launch, the brand has started confirming a few key details of the OnePlus Ace 3 smartphone. Earlier today, the company has confirmed the display specifications of the device.
OnePlus Ace 3 Confirmed To Feature 1.5K Resolution Display
As revealed by the Chinese smartphone maker today, the OnePlus Ace 3 will feature the same display as that of the OnePlus 12, except that it will have a 1.5K resolution. The display will be manufactured by BOE and it will have a 4,500 nits brightness. Furthermore, it is also revealed that the display will adopt an industry-leading 8T LTPO circuit design.
The rest of the key specifications of the handset are already known to us, considering that the device appeared on the China Telecom website a few days back. The smartphone is rumoured to feature a 6.8-inch AMOLED display which no doubt will have 120Hz refresh rate support. Under the hood, the smartphone will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, as revealed by the Geekbench listing yesterday. The handset is expected to launch in 12GB/16GB of RAM configurations which could be paired with 256GB/512GB and 1TB of internal storage respectively.
As for the software, the device will boot Android 14-based OxygenOS 14 out of the box. In terms of the imaging department, the device will feature a triple-camera setup. The camera module is expected to include a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro sensor. The other key features which the device might offer include a 16MP selfie camera, an in-display fingerprint sensor, a 5,000mAh battery, and 100W fast charging.
