Infinix Smart 8 Pro unveiled with 50MP camera and 5,000mAh battery

Infinix launched the Smart 8 in some markets last year, but the version released in India a few weeks ago comes with the Helio G36 SoC, a 50 MP camera and XOS 13 based on Android 13 Go. Now, the brand has announced the Smart 8 Pro, which is essentially the Indian version of the Smart 8.

This means the Infinix Smart 8 Pro comes with the Helio G36 SoC, a 6.6″ 90Hz HD+ LCD with Dynamic Island-like Magic Ring, and a 5,000 mAh battery with 10W charging. The smartphone also runs Android 13 Go-based XOS 13 and has a feature that allows you to call people on WhatsApp without adding their numbers, but this feature will arrive via an OTA update.

The Infinix Smart 8 Pro is offered in Wood Black, Shiny Gold, Galaxy White, and Rainbow Blue colors. Infinix has not yet announced its pricing and availability, but the smartphone is available in India as the Smart 8 in a single 4GB/64GB configuration for INR7,499 ($90/€85). Therefore, if Infinix launches a Smart 8 Pro in India, it will likely have different specifications.
