LG announced its 2024 LG Gram laptop series at the CES tech show in Las Vegas. All models get an Intel Core Ultra processor upgrade and there’s a new LG Gram Pro model too. However, there was no mention of local, Australian pricing and availability.
LG gram Pro and LG gram Pro 2-in-1
The LG gram Pro laptops (models 16Z90SP and 17Z90SP) come equipped with Intel Core Ultra processors, a fast, NVMe, PCIe 4.0 hard drive and Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 graphics chip (TBC!). Both Pro models have a dual-fan cooling system.
The new LG grams also include a compatibility-boosting LG Gram Link app which enables file sharing, photo transfers and screen mirroring between LG Gram laptops plus, Android and iOS devices. The app also has an integrated Ai function that intelligently categorises photos stored on the Gram and simplifies image searches using keywords.
The new, 16-inch and 17-inch, ultra-slim and ultra-lightweight LG Gram Pro models are designed for “On-the-go professionals.” Their IPS screens cover 100 per cent of the difficult DCI-P3 colour space and have a 2,560 x 1,600 resolution. The 16-inch LG Gram Pro is also available with a 2,880 x 1,800 OLED screen. Both feature a dual fan cooling system. Connectivity includes Thunderbolt 4, USB-C, USB-A and HDMI video out.
The LG Gram Pro 2-in-1 (model 16T90SP) won a CES 2024 Innovation Award got listed as the Guiness World Records lightest 16-inch, 2-in-1 laptop. The convertible has a WQXGA+ OLED display, a slim and ultra-lightweight design, it’s only 12mm thick and weighs just 1.4KG. It has a 360-degree hinge, responsive touchscreen and a wirelessly-charged stylus.
Refreshed 2024 LG Gram Laptops
LG is also introducing new 17, 16, 15 and 14-inch Gram laptops (models 17Z90S, 16Z90S, 15Z90S and 14Z90S). They have slender, ultra-lightweight designs and long-lasting batteries. They’re designed for business travellers and busy prosumers. All 2024 LG Gram laptops sport Intel Core Ultra processors, NVMe PCIe 4.0 hard drives and high-brightness IPS panels with an anti-glare coating.
The 16 and 17-inch LG Grams have WQXGA displays. All models have Full HD webcams and come with software including LG Glance by Mirametrix for security and privacy and the new LG Gram Link app.
