Is the PS4 discontinued in India?

With Sony revealing a PS5 release date for India, the PS4 remains hard to find. Several retailers speaking to IGN India stated that supplies have been erratic at best. As for the PS4 Pro, India availability continues to be a mystery as Sony is yet to confirm if the country would get any restocks.

The console has been tough to find since its 2017 India debut. Prior to this, Sony had discontinued the 500GB PS4 in the country. At the moment Sony hasn’t commented on the discontinuation of any other PS4 variants for the region.

This isn’t the first time a PS4 variant has been reported to hit end of life status. Late last year it was discovered that Sony’s US website had displayed a message claiming the PS4 Pro won’t be available with “no plans to restock this item in the future.” The message was later removed though it remains unavailable.
